Post 5- Summary

I thought when I first started my blog it was going to be hard and I was correct! It is really hard to find information about rats. No one really talks about rats or thinks about them so, that is why it is so hard to find info about rats. I looked on the Internet for info that was the greatest source. The second was probably reading about them. There are not much books about rats but I could find a couple in the library.
I felt the books didn't have much information it's info was too much about pet rats. I mean who wants to spend there time writing about rats? My third est source was asking other people about rats ( I wouldn't ask people I only did that once and it wasn't that good informatoin). I didn't really have any more sources so if you are dong a report rats probably shouldn't be one of your choices. (If you do want to do a report on a rat you should use the internet or a book those would be your best sources).
I don't have a pet rat, but I really want one. A lot of people think that rats are disgusting and gross, but I think they are cute.
One of the questions I had was what a rat's favorite food is? My answer came out that it depends on the rat. Another question was do other countries eat rat's? My answer was yes some other ones do. You wouldn't believe how many things people do with rat's. Some people experiment on them, they eat them, they have them as pets, and some people try to cure disease for rat's.
Many people in the world hate rat's but a lot of them also love rat's. So now you probably know a lot more about rat's then you did a couple minutes ago. Thank you for reading my summary.

Post 1- History

Rats are a small furry gerbil. They have very strong teeth they can gnaw through steel and concrete. There biting pressure is 7,000 pounds per square inch.
One pair rats can make 15,000 little ones a year! Rats are sometimes eaten in emergency situations. In some cultures people consider rats as food. Bandicoot rats are an important food source in southeast Asia. Domestic pet rats are different from wild rats. They are calmer, and they have smaller brains, livers, kidneys, adrenal glands, and hearts. They breed earlier and produce more offspring. Rats are very smart and aggressive. Rats skeletons can fit through a hole a big as their skull. If you see a rat it probably is weak and can't fight off the other rats for food. The ones that hide in the day are a lot bigger and stronger.
Ancient Romans did not know the different between rats and mice. They would say "Mus Maximus" (big mouse) and "Mus Minimus" (little mouse). In the Chinese culture the rat was the first of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. People that were born in the year of the rat were well to get along with monkeys and dragons but not horses.
The rat raised today for pets are descend from the Brown Rat because it is known as fancy.
That is my history post.
